The name Pie Town Stompin' Grounds is derived from the Pie Town Historical District in which our restaurant is located.  As the story goes, during the Mexican-American and Civil Wars soldiers were camped down the street in what is now Rock Springs Park. Taking pity on the men, the wives of the area baked pies and delivered them to the starving, weary soldiers. Hence the name Pie Town was born.

Owner Brian Runge is proud of the rich heritage of the area, and has helped bring the forgotten historical meaning back to the lips and hearts of the townspeople.
